2024

We look back on an exciting year 2023, in which we were able to carry out many of our classical but also new projects. Our work shadowing courses at the University Hospital Magdeburg, which are already part of the inventory, will take place again this year as usual. But we will also be able to offer many symposia and hands-on workshops. We are particularly pleased about new and further projects with our newly acquired partners in the field of neuroradiology and nuclear medicine. November 8-9

We are excited to invite you to the Tumor Board Simulation for Minimally Invasive Oncology. This 2-day workshop offers hands-on experience in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions, focusing on hepatocellular carcinoma and metastatic colorectal carcinoma.

The program features expert-led lectures, interactive case discussions, and opportunities to present and analyze clinical cases. Led by specialists in nuclear medicine, gastroenterology, surgery, and radiology, this workshop provides a comprehensive approach to minimally invasive oncology.

October - December

This clinical observation workshop taking place in Magdeburg marks its 15th edition. This long-standing program combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications in image-guided therapies. Participants will engage in hospital rotations and explore medical imaging technologies such as MRI, CT, and hybrid imaging.

The course also includes visits to specialized departments such as radiology, neurology, gastroenterology, and cardiology, providing a comprehensive understanding of interventional imaging techniques. 

September 18

The 6th Magdeburg Aorta Symposium will take place on September 18, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Gesellschaftshaus Magdeburg.

This year’s symposium will focus on innovative techniques in aortic arch surgery and aortic remodeling following endovascular and hybrid therapy for the thoracic aorta. Esteemed experts will present their insights and methods, followed by an open discussion.

The event is accredited with 2 continuing education points. We look forward to welcoming you on this late summer evening!

August 14

On August 14, 2024, the Nuklearmediziner-Stammtisch Sachsen-Anhalt will take place.

The program includes updates on thyroid diagnostics, dementia imaging, lung scintigraphy as well as radioligand therapy and diagnostics. There will also be the opportunity to present and discuss your own practical cases.

Participation is free of charge, continuing education points have been applied for. Catering will be provided. We look forward to a personal exchange on site!

June - July

The MR System Engineering Course will be held across multiple sessions in Magdeburg and Hannover. This advanced program is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of MRI systems.

Participants will benefit from hands-on projects, interactive sessions, and expert-led demonstrations. The course is structured into several blocks, combining theoretical foundations with practical exercises on advanced MRI systems, including 7T MRI and other specialized setups.

The course is directed by leading professionals from Magdeburg and Hannover, ensuring a comprehensive and high-quality educational experience

The 6th Magdeburg Heart-Lung Symposium will take place at the lecture hall of the University Hospital Magdeburg, starting at 5:00 PM.

This year’s focus lies on the intersection of cardiology, vascular medicine, and pulmonology, covering topics such as vascular dysregulation, anticoagulation post-mechanical aortic valve replacement, and pulmonary hypertension associated with left heart failure. How does an operation room look like from the inside? What are the main diseases for each clinical department and how are they treated there? What can a medical equipment company do to improve these procedures? All this and more will be shown and answered during the 12 days of our clinical insight observation workshop. hardware knowledge, insights into clinical application and much more will be taught in addition to an overall understanding of the MR system.

April 16-17

We are offering 2 workshops on these two days. On the one hand we have the AMAZT workshop with a focus on aneyrisma for neuroradiologists and on the other hand we have the SIRT workshop, which is intended to explain radioembolization in more detail to interventional radiologists and nuclear medicine specialists.
