2019 – plans and thoughts
LIAM is gradually taking root in the area of further training events for doctors and medical technicians. We have a lot planned for the new year. In addition to the regular workshops such as HIFU focal therapy – Focal One, Yttrium-90 radioembolization – SIRT and the hands-on workshop for embolizing with microcatheters, we are increasingly organizing symposiums for local doctors and their patients. In September, for example, we invite you to an aortic symposium and in November to the second supra-regional presentation of the cardiac-thoracic surgery clinic of the Magdeburg University Hospital. We are always looking forward to passing on important and valuable knowledge and will keep you up to date on the latest course dates, new workshops and course feedback on our website.
News 2019
In these two months, eight employees of the company Siemens will be visiting the Magdeburg University Hospital. The guests will observe various hospital departments over twelve days. The aim of their visit is to get a precise idea of the daily routine in a hospital.

For the first time, a hands-on course is taking place, which focuses exclusively on the liquid emboliate “Squid Peri” and the liquid embolic agent “Magic Glue” and their use in the embolization of arteriovenous malformations (AVM). The participants of this workshop can rely on the expertise of Prof. Dr. Dr. W. Wohlgemuth, who is considered a luminary in this field, and guiding this workshop together with his co-speaker, Prof. Dr. med. R. Müller-Wille.
